About us

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is a friendly and welcoming group that work with Hall Orchard Primary School to support and enhance the learning experience for every child. The core purpose of the PTFA is to advance the education of pupils in the school by:

  • Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and friends of the school.

  • Engaging in activities or providing facilities and equipment which support the school and advances the education of the pupils.

From organising fun events to raising funds for essential resources, our PTFA plays a vital role in enhancing the school environment. Every contribution - big or small - helps us provide more opportunities for the children. Every volunteer brings us closer to achieving our goals. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or looking to get involved for the first time, there’s a place for you here!

Join us as we work together to make Hall Orchard the best it can be. Explore our website to learn more about upcoming events, how to get involved, and the impact we’re making in our school community. You can always contact us to find out more by emailing ptfa@hall-orchard.leics.sch.uk

    Chair

I have been chair of the PTFA since it was reformed in 2022. I have 2 daughters at Hall Orchard. Having attended school events in the past, I wanted to get involved when I knew Mr Dunn was keen to form a new committee.

Since 2022, we have held some fantastic events and always have lots of fun ideas planned. Joining the PTFA has been a great opportunity to meet some awesome parents and teachers whilst raising some fabulous funds for the school. I hope to welcome more of you to the PTFA this year.

  • Hayley Hodgson

    Vice-Chair

I’ve been Vice-Chair of the PTFA since we restarted it in 2022. I love being part of such a supportive and creative group of people. I’m so proud of the amount of money we’ve raised for the school.

Being the landlady at the summer festival has been my favourite role so far!

I have two children. Charlie, who is in year 4, and Arthur, who will hopefully be starting in EYFS in September.

  • Claire Delaney

    Treasurer

I joined the PTFA when it started back up in November 2022. I have enjoyed organising events and seeing the money coming in. What is more rewarding is seeing the money being spent in school and enhancing the children’s experience at HOPS.

I have a daughter, Isla, who has just finished her 7 years at Hall Orchard and moved in to Humphrey Perkins. My 4 year old, Arlo, is currently at preschool and hoping to start his HOPS journey in September 2025.

  • Kate Moffett-Ranson

    Secretary

I've been Secretary since 2022. I keep the PTFA organised, arrange meetings, support event planning and I’m the person behind the newsletter updates.

I love seeing how the efforts of the PTFA make a positive impact on the school. My favourite event is the Summer Festival - it’s rewarding seeing everyone having fun, supporting local businesses and raising a fantastic amount for the school.

I have one child at Hall Orchard, Abbott who is in Year 2.
